Invisible Matters: Kruger & Pribich Show in NYC

A project of ArteMorbida's 'Follow the Thread'

Invisible Matters is a duo exhibition with Deborah Kruger and Michael Pribich at Big Sky Studios in Chinatown/New York. The show is a part of the multi-location Follow the Thread celebration of contemporary textile art sponsored by ArteMobida, the Rome-based fiber magazine, and curated by Barbara Pavan.

Kruger, whose monumental environmental artwork made with recycled plastic is in the permanent collection of the Museum of Arts & Design in New York, brings smaller, more intimately scaled pieces to the show in Chinatown.

Pribich has long focused his art practice on essential labor and Kruger is known for her concerns about endangered birds. Both artists work with abstraction and recycled materials to visually create a layered dialogue about the causes and consequences of invisibility.

The artists will both be on hand to meet the public at the Blue Sky Studio, 99 Canal Street, 3rd floor on Saturday and Sunday November 4-5 from 12-5pm or by appointment.

Please join them at Invisible Matters and Follow the Thread!
