9 Amazing Shows and Honors
(click on each square to read more!)
Although I set goals every year, never in my wildest dreams did I think that I would have these nine amazing highlights to share with you.
The year began and ended with a First Prize! One was based in Denver and the other in Miami. Thanks to Curator Barbara Pavan, I had two shows in Italy. One was a fiber and text show in Perugia and the other was a Contemporary Fiber Biennale at a museum in Valtopina.
I was invited to be represented by imperfecta gallery in Oregon City, Oregon and also invited to participate in the Art in Embassies Program, which has shipped one of my environmental murals to the US Embassy in Ashgabat, Turkmenistan.
Had an unforgettable artist residency in September at the Icelandic Textile Center in Blondus, Iceland where I saw the Northern Lights and whales galore. And I ended the year with two North Carolina based exhibitions. A two-story solo show at the Block Gallery in downtown Raleigh and inclusion in the Mint Museum’s ‘Coined in the South: 2024 Biennial’ in Charlotte.
