Mini Black Kimono 1- Unframed

Mini Black Kimono 1 evokes shape and sensibility of a kimono. I have combined long black tail feathers with curved gold feathers along the collar. The feathers are made from recycled plastic, hand screen-printed with images of endangered birds and overprinted with text in endangered languages such as Yiddish, Shorthand, and excerpts of Rachel Carson’s Silent Spring, which inspired me to make environmental art.
