Remnants 10 is part of my ongoing Remnants series in which I use scraps of fabric from other larger projects. We all need to reduce our environmental footprint and this is my way of not adding to the waste stream. These feathers are made from fiber, encaustic, paint and oilstick and a wrapped stick anchors the piece at the top and evokes African masks along with waxed linen, wire thread and beads to add texture.
