Deborah Kruger

Drawings

Since the fall of 2016, I have immersed myself in researching some of the world’s most endangered birds—rare and fragile species whose habitats span the windswept coasts of New Zealand and Australia, the grasslands of Africa, the forests of Asia, and the diverse landscapes of the Americas. Each bird is both a living masterpiece and a reminder of what we stand to lose. My drawings aim to honor their beauty while underscoring the urgency of their preservation. These works will take shape as silk screens, ceramics, and large-scale installations, becoming both art and advocacy in my upcoming exhibitions.
