Since making feathers out of fiber and encaustic is a lengthy process, Deborah Kruger began to use digital scans on watercolor paper as a way of creating larger installations like Butterfly Effect. Named for the chaos theory developed by mathematician Edward Lorenz, this spiraling installation is affected by the least amount of air movement.
Exhibited at the Diego Rivera Museum, Mexico City, Mexico as part of the World Textile Association installation exhibition with the theme of Air.
