Voyage Raleigh magazine reached out to me for an interview. Their interview format was fascinating. For each question, there was a drop down list and I had the chance to choose one of the questions that seemed most relevant. This format allowed me to curate an interview that had a theme, in my case, how having a mentor and being a mentor shapes an artist’s career and sense of possibility.
Although there is an immediacy to a live interview, this written interview offered me a chance to take my time crafting my answers. I was able to leave the interview when I had another task and then come back to it when I had more time and attention . I appreciate Voyage Raleigh giving me the opportunity to share my ideas, inspiration and creative process.
