I took the triangle to a new and larger dimension for this piece of fiberart, which looks like a bird spreading its wings. The red feathers are made from fiber, encaustic, paint and oilstick and as in other works, there is a blaze of red feathers down the middle and across the top of the piece evoking mating plumage. A curved wrapped stick anchors the piece at the top and evokes African masks and wingspan.
