Vortex

In addition to making wall reliefs, Deborah also creates sculptures and installations. Vortex is a large spiral shaped sculpture whose feathers graduate from black to white. These feathers are silk-screened on recycled plastic bags and if you look closely, you will see images of endangered birds and endangered languages. Vortex appeared on the cover of SAQA Journal for their 30th Anniversary issue in Spring 2019.
