Since shipping work is always on her mind, Deborah Kruger planned Raptor, a long horizontal piece, to be constructed in four sections that could stack during shipment and be easily reassembled in the gallery. Her feathers made from fiber, encaustic, oilstick and paint were glued to a linen backing that hangs with grommets and the wrapped stick.
