Cambodia

Deborah Kruger has done a series of pieces based on the map of Cambodia, which is the last remaining habitat of the elegant and nearly extinct Bengal Florican. Cambodia is the second piece in the series and is distinguished by flecks of red, orange and yellow throughout the piece.  All the feathers are silk-screened on recycled plastic bags and if you look closely, you will see images of endangered birds and endangered languages.  Cambodia was chosen for a climate show titled Terra Infirma, at the Bernard Heller Museum in New York City in 2018.
