INTRODUCTION
I am seeking representation by Art Advisors, Art Consultants and Interior Decorators who want to partner with an international artist working on the cutting edges of environmental and fiber art. In addition to using recycled materials in a completely unique style, I also have the advantage of having a team-based art practice, enabling me to easily scale up projects. My primary production studio is in Mexico, where I have access to international transportation, foundries, framing and labor which allow me to offer you and your clients dramatic installations at affordable prices.
BIOGRAPHY
Wallpaper design and patterning have influenced Kruger’s work since her training in textile design at the Fashion Institute of Technology in New York City. She has taught, lectured and exhibited her artwork in museums and galleries throughout the US, Mexico and Europe since the 1980s.
Recent career highlights include a 2022 solo exhibition titled Avianto at the Train Station Cultural Center in Chapala, Mexico which will travel to two other museums in Jalisco. A 2021 solo exhibition titled Plumas at PRPG.mx Gallery in Mexico City, inclusion in the Rufino Tamayo Biennal, which closes at the Rufino Tamayo Museum of Art in Mexico City and a solo exhibition at the Visions Art Museum in San Diego, CA in 2023.
Kruger’s prize-winning work just won the 2023 Arte Laguna Prize in Sculpture and Installation, which comes with an exhibition in Venice, Italy. Her work was recently featured at the Bernard Heller Museum, New York, NY; the Contemporary Art Museum, Raleigh, NC; the Atlanta-Hartsfield International Airport in Atlanta, GA; and the Diego Rivera Museum, Mexico City, Mexico.
Her textile paintings and sculpture are frequently published in venues including Art Daily (USA), Arte Morbida (Italy), Art Spiel (NYC), Opus Textile (Costa Rica), Textile Artist (UK), La Razon (Mexico), Textile Fibre Forum (Australia), Textile Curator (Malaysia), SAQA magazine cover (USA), and American Craft (USA).
The artist has attended residencies at the Millay Colony for the Arts, Austerlitz, NY, La Porte Peinte Centre, Noyers-sur-Serein, France and and at Hypatia-in-the-Woods, Shelton, WA.
Kruger maintains studios in the vibrant art community of Durham, NC and in the lakeside village of Chapala, Mexico.
Her art practice balances making objects of beauty and contemplation that convey layered meaning about habitat fragmentation, bird migration, species extinction and loss of indigenous languages.
ARTIST STATEMENT
My abstract textile paintings, sculptures and installations are all created from thousands of layered feathers. From a distance, the feathers are colorful and decorative and evocative of birds. Close up, viewers can see images of endangered birds and endangered languages. I use recycled plastic bags and a complex silk-screening process.
Although the content of the work focuses on the tragic losses of the 21st century, specifically the extinction of bird species and climate change, my intent is to use my decorative design background to create artwork that is inspiring as well as meaningful.
I am fortunate to have a dedicated studio team helping me produce artwork that ranges in scale from intimate work for the home to mural-size work for commercial and corporate environments.

This portfolio allows you to see the breadth of my work from smaller, home-scaled artwork (framed/unframed prints and small framed pieces) to dramatic wall-scale installations and sculpture suitable for commercial and corporate customers. Each piece includes information about materials, prices and views of the work in situ and to scale. I welcome commissions and multiples.

All my prices are developed from a formula that takes into consideration the actual cost per foot times a multiple for project size.
For commission work, I need a 30 – 50% deposit before production starts, another payment mid-way through construction and a final payment before shipping.
I can accept payments via PayPal, Stripe or old-fashioned checks (which must clear before work begins).
